Abstract 【Abstract】 Objective To evaluate the risk factors of febrile convulsion (FC) and their relationships with the immune system. Method To review the clinical characteristics of 41 FC cases who were treated at our ward from October 2011 to April 2013. Result The most common etiology of FC was upper respiratory tract infection. The number of male cases was a little more than female cases and the average age was 1-6 years. The serum levels of immune globulins in all patients were lower than normal after FC, which suggests that the FC was related to the immune system. Conclusion Deficiencies in immune function existed in FC cases and it may be one of the etiology of FC.
