Abstract 【Abstract】With advances in perinatal medicine, the survival rate of preterm infants has gradually increased, however, intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) and the resulting posthemorrhagic ventricular dilatation or hydrocephalus (PHVD/PHH) have become increasingly prominent issues. IVH occurs with relatively high incidence in preterm infants, and severe IVH can lead to various serious complications, affecting the survival rate and quality of life of the infants. Based on the review of domestic and international literatures, this consensus clarifies the grading and related definitions of IVH. It provides recommendations regarding the occurrence and monitoring of PHVD/PHH, the treatment of PHVD/PHH (including treatment threshold, treatment strategies, drug therapy, temporary surgical treatment, permanent surgical treatment, and stem cell therapy), and prognosis of PHVD/PHH, aiming to provide theoretical and practical guidance for professionals involved in neonatal neurological diseases.
