Abstract Objective To discuss the application and value of three-port transumbilical laparoscopic pyeloplasty in children with hydronephrosis. Method We retrospectively reviewed cases of 20 infants with hydronephrosis who underwent three-port transumbilical laparoscopic pyeloplasty from October 2012 to July 2015. Results All operations were successful except for 1 conversion to open surgery.Mean operation time was 120.5 min(range 90-160 min).Mean intraoperative blood loss was 12.6 ml(range 5-20 ml).The postoperative hospital stay was 7.8 days(range 6-10 days).Ultrosound examination indicated that hydronephrosis were relieved and the renal parenchymal thickness increased in 18 cases 3 months after operation.2 cases showed no significant difference in the uronephrosis during the treatment,and the intravenous pyelography indicated that anastomotic stricture,they were improved after the 2 operation. Conclusions Three-port transumbilical laparoscopic pyeloplasty in children with hydronephrosis is safe,feasible,fsat recovery and good cosmetic effect method.
