摘要 脐带血里存在着大量的造血干细胞以及具有治疗潜力的其他类型的干细胞[1-2]。20 世纪90 年代初,科学家成功地使用了脐带血重建移植患者的血液和免疫系统。脐带血衍生干细胞具有潜在的临床价值、强大的增殖能力以及较小的伦理争议,此外,与源自成人组织的干细胞相比,新生儿干细胞接触病毒和环境毒素的风险较低,脐带血还可以冷冻保存供以后使用,因此,很多脐血库得以建立[3]。近年来,随着研究的深入,许多脐血库的规模不断扩大,除了脐带血以外还一起冷冻保存其他组织,如脐带、胎盘、羊水和羊膜。这些组织除了用作间充质干细胞(mesenchymal stem cells,MSCs)的储存库之外,还可以从中分离内皮祖细胞(endothelialprogenitor cells,EPCs)以及其他可能具有治疗价值的细胞亚群[4]。本综述简要介绍脐带血干细胞研现状和脐带血衍生干细胞的临床应用前景,以及有关脐血库的经济学和脐带血生物经济学的相关问题。
