Abstract 【Abstract】 Objective To analyze the clinical application effect of the early warning safety management systematized nursing for critical children with respiratory system. Methods From January 2018 to December 2019, 60 critical children with respiratory system admitted in the Seventh Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital were divided into study group (n=30) and control group (n=30). Children in control group received routine nursing care, and children in study group received early warning safetymanagement systematized nursing. The early disease detection rate, accurate disease identification rate, pediatricintensive care unit (PICU) residence time, length of hospital stay, nursing quality and the rate of adverse eventsin the two groups were compared. Statistical methods were used by χ2 and t test. Results The early diseasedetection rate (90.0% vs 46.7%) and accurate identification rate (96.7% vs 63.3%) in the study group werehigher than those in the control group (P<0.001). While the PICU residence time [(6.4±1.1) vs (9.1±1.2) d]and hospital stay time [(13.2±2.4) vs((17.3±2.5) d] in the study group were shorter than those in the controlgroup (P<0.001). The scores of nursing quality of children in the study group were higher than those in thecontrol group (P<0.001). The rate of adverse events during hospitalization in the study group was lower than that in the control group (6.7% vs 46.7%, P<0.001). Conclusion The application of early warning safetymanagement systematized nursing in critical children with respiratory system can effectively improve the earlydisease detection rate and accurate disease identification rate, as well as shorten the stay time and hospitalization time of PICU. It can improve the quality of nursing work, and reduce the incidence of adverse events.
