Abstract: 【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the feasibility of Internet remote follow-up for percutaneous jaundice monitoring of neonatal hemolytic disease after discharge. Method From January 2018 to October 2020, 106 neonates with ABO blood group incompatibility hemolytic jaundice in Tongzhou District Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected for the study. The neonates were divided into control groupand observation group with a random number table method, with 53 cases in each group. The neonates in thecontrol group received routine discharge follow-up for jaundice monitoring. On this basis, the observationgroup was followed up by the Internet remote percutaneous jaundice monitoring. The incidence of bilirubinencephalopathy, readmission rate, mother's negative emotions [self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and selfratingepression scale (SDS)] and children's development (body length, head circumference, body mass, total development quotient) were compared between the two groups. The statistical methods performed byt test, χ2 test or Fisher exact probability method. Result The incidence of bilirubin encephalopathy [0(0/53) vs 7.6% (4/53), P=0.041], the readmission rates [3.8% (2/53) vs 15.1% (8/53), χ2=3.975, P=0.046]were lower in the observation group than those in the control group. One week after discharge, the SASscores [(14.9±3.6) vs (25.0±6.3) points, t=10.192, P<0.001], the SDS scores [(12.9±3.6) vs (20.1±5.8)points, t=7.687, P<0.001], were lower in the observation group than those in the control group. There wasno significant difference in body length, head circumference, body mass and total developmental quotientbetween the two groups at discharge (all P>0.05). Six months after discharge, the body length [(64.7±5.2) vs(62.1±4.8) cm, t=-2.644, P=0.009], head circumference [(47.6±4.0) vs (44.1±3.3) cm, t=-5.008, P<0.001],body weight [(7.1±0.8) vs (6.8±0.6) kg, t=-2.170, P=0.032] and total development quotient [(73.1±12.5)vs (68.0±11.8) points, t=-2.168, P=0.032] in the observation group were higher than those in the controlgroup. Conclusion After discharge of the neonates with ABO blood group incompatibility hemolyticjaundice, remote Internet follow-up percutaneous jaundice monitoring based on the routine follow-up planis helpful to reduce the incidence of bilirubin encephalopathy and readmission rate, relieve the mother's bad mood and improve the growth and development of the neonates.
