A case report of inguinal appendiceal band–induced sliding hernia

Abstract
In children, the organ most commonly involved in inguinal sliding hernia is the sigmoid colon, followed by the cecum, uterus, and adnexa. The clinical data of a pediatric patient with right indirect inguinal hernia were admitted to the Department of General Surgery, Capital Center for Children's Health, Capital Medical University was retrospectively analyzed. The patient underwent laparoscopic high ligation of the right hernial sac, intraoperative findings confirmed a sliding hernia caused by an inguinal appendiceal band,which is clinically rare. The patient was treated successfully.
