Abstract
Urinary tract infection is one of the most common infections in neonates and these infections have been on the rise in recent years. The clinical manifestation of neonatal urinary tract infection is often atypical, which may lead to delayed treatment. Bacteria often travel up the urethra to the kidneys and bladder,
evolving into pyelonephritis, cystitis and other conditions. In severe cases, it can progress to systemic
infection leading to sepsis. Therefore, it is particularly important to identify the risk factors of neonatal
urinary tract infection aiding early detection. This paper, systematically reviews the relevant literatures on the risk factors of neonatal urinary tract infection in recent years, so as to provide a theoretical basis for better prevention and treatment of neonatal urinary tract infection.
