| Clinical observation of astaxanthin to embryo transplant failure in patients of IVF-ET with ovarian response |

Abstract Objective To discuss the influence of astaxanthin on outcome of diminished ovarian reserve patients in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET). Method Self-control study was done on 30 DOR patients of the in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) treatment before and after the acceptance of assisted reproductive cycles. Analyze ovarian reserve index (base hormone levels, antral follicle count,etc.)and cycle treatment parameters (number of follicles, oocytes, fertilization rate, embryo implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, cycle cancellation rate, abortion rate, etc.) change. Results The control ovarian hyperstimulation program between the previous cycle and the next cycle has no significant difference. After the treatment of astaxanthin，based antral follicle count, the number of follicles, implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate and the number of oocytes significantly increase(P<0.05) with cycle cancellation rate significantly decreased(P>0.05). The fertilization rate and abortion rate has no difference (P>0.05). Conclusions Astaxanthin can improve ovarian reserve function of DOR patient, the ovarian reactivity and IVF treatment outcome
