Abstract: 【Abstract】Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a life-threatening intestinal inflammatory disease in neonates, characterized by complex etiology, unclear pathogenesis, limited prevention and treatment methods, and a high risk of poor prognosis. Breastfeeding can effectively reduce the incidence of NEC in neonatesand promote the recovery of intestinal lesions in affected infants. Nutrients extracted from breast milk, suchas oligosaccharides, amino acids, proteins, lipids and fatty acids, and vitamins, can mitigate the intestinalstress response to inflammatory damage while enhancing the immune function of the intestinal barrier, thereby preventing and treating NEC. This study aims to review the research progress on the preventive andtherapeutic effects of breast milk and its nutritional components on NEC, providing new insights for NECprevention and treatment strategies.
