摘要慢性病是病程长、病情迁延不愈、病理形态损害难以在短期内恢复的非传染性疾病的总称。近十年，慢性病发病人数快速上升。世界卫生组织预计，到2020年，慢性病的病死率将占全球人口死亡率的73%，并占全球疾病负担的60% 。我国慢性病防治工作规划（2012年至2015年）的数据表明，慢性病患者已超过2.6亿人，其死亡人数占总死亡人数的85%。慢性病已成为严重威胁人类健康、备受各国关注的重大公共卫生问题。儿童慢性病带来的不仅仅是慢性病的持续治疗问题，还有儿童生长发育、生活管理、社会适应能力等许多与健康相关的医学问题和社会问题。为此，本期组织了“慢性病儿童的生长发育”专栏，探讨相关问题。
