Abstract: 【Abstract】During their hospital stay, neonates often undergo various invasive medical procedures due to treatment needs, which subjects them to unavoidable pain. In recent years, non-nutritive sucking (NNS) has gradually gained widely attention as a simple and e?ective method for neonatal pain management. Despite its widespread clinical application, there remain key technical issues that require optimization. This review compiles the latest research advancements on the use of NNS in alleviating pain in hospitalized neonates, aiming to provide references for enhancing pain management levels during neonatal hospitalization
