Abstract: 【Abstract】 Objective To explore the regional distribution, research tendency and hot spots of newborn pain management by the visualization analysis on relevant literature with software CiteSpace Ⅴ . Methods Articles related to newborn pain management published between 2000and 2018 searched by the Web of Science TM were selected. Countries, institutions, keywords and cited references from the above articles were analyzed by CiteSpace Ⅴ . Results The research on newborn pain management showed a developing trend. The research force primarily clustered in developed countries such as Europe and America. Keywords analysis and the view of the cited articles show the procedural pain management has been the hot spot in recent years and non-pharmacological intervention has been a major content of research. Conclusions In developed countries, much attention has been paid to the newborn pain management. However, in developing countries, including China, medical personnel still lack the awareness and management of newborn pain, so it is necessary to strengthen the understanding of the importance of newborn pain management and the implementation of pain management.
